In Memoriam

We lost a colleague and dear friend.  Dave spent four decades practicing as a Certified Public Accountant with our firm but in two different locations.  After graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in accounting in 1980, Dave joined Haynie and Company, CPAs in Salt Lake City, Utah, and five years later was part of the team which opened an additional office for the firm in Newport Beach, California, where Dave then lived and worked for 35 years.  Having become credentialed as a Certified Public Accountant in the early 1980s, Dave later also qualified for the designations of Certified Fraud Examiner, in 1993, and Certified Valuation Analyst, in 1995.  Dave specialized in auditing, management consulting and business valuation, and also periodically testified in court as an expert witness in business matters.  Dave serviced a wide variety of clients during his career, including real estate developers, mobile home park owners, construction companies, property management companies, manufacturers, service companies, mortgage brokers, bankers, labor unions and professional athletes.  Dave will be missed, but he will always be in our hearts and a part of our firm.
